As I don't plan to blog tomorrow, I shall post my mother's day card right here. Not that she'll ever see it. My mum tries to stay away from technology as much as she can, unless it's to read my sister's blog, but these are the chrysanthemums my dad bought for her. She may not see it on my blog, she'll see it plenty in real life~ 3 pots- golden, light yellow and purple. Apparently, light yellow was supposed to be white, but being Asian (though not at all superstitious), white chrysanthemums signifies death and is usually brought to a funeral, so no, no white chrysanthemums for mum.

I finally finished that trilogy of books JF lent me eons ago despite that ridiculous workload on me from uni, which is why my resolution is to at least finish off most of that diagnosis report due next week, and make some start on my composition. And that client report... /cries

Work has been frustrating lately. The picture tells its own story, especially when the context is that I washed those plates (not even used by me) an hour before this picture was taken.
I get paid $19 per hour to clean dishes, which is actually fine by me. Especially when someone whose intent is on creating more mess whenever anything's clean is around... just means I spend less time doing paperwork and other more important things :D

Day after that was spent rather peacefully though~ went to Mohr Fish at Surry Hills. The last time I went there was with J.C.

Free bread and butter, with impeccable service. Upon sitting down, waiter sat down a basket of bread and butter. We chewed on these while deliberating over the menu. I hate being indecisive, but I am terrible at making decisions, especially when it comes to ordering food.
We finished the bread even before we ordered.

After we ordered, waiter refilled our bread basket, and added this to our table: an absolutely delicious dip. I have no idea what dip it is, but I wish I had asked.

My kingfish with fennel, mash potato, salad.

TT's tuna steak, medium rare of course, with avocado salsa, chips and salad. We put the dip to good use with the chips and it was so good. I actually really liked this dish, more than my kingfish, so I must have had too much of tt's dish and found it hard to finish my own.
The servings were so generous :D NOT complaining at all, loved it!

Look at those colours!
Sure, it was a tad on the expensive side, but the service! The food! The huge servings! The flavors! It's also a bit of a walk from Central (202 Devonshire Street), but it's totally worth it. Fish is one hard ingredient to cook with and you can just tell Mohr Fish has got it right~
